my name is Daniele Cafagna, I am from Andria, a city in Puglia.
I attended the Commercial Technical Institute of Andria.
I decided to attend Naba because I have always had the dream of working in the fashion world.
In these three years, motivated by this great passion, I have worked hard to learn all the concepts I need for my future.
“Skin Intersection” is a collection based on the different types of skin, on the multiple characteristics and on the various problems.
The image of inspiration is the photo of two girls, very close to each other, one of which has a fair complexion and the other a dark complexion.
The “Skin Intersection” collection presents garments that are mostly adherent, as if to represent a second skin, enriched by particular weaves and embroideries that recall the various aspects listed.
“Skin Intersection” is a collection based on the different types of skin, on the multiple characteristics and on the various problems. In addition, the weave suggests concepts of union and texture, union of colors, assembly, weaving of clothes and workmanship. Weaving unites cultures, accompanies the stages of existence. It is a way to communicate. So the yarn becomes a symbolic element of the collection and a strong reference to artists such as Maria Lai and her work Legarsi alla Montagna, 1981, Ulassai. The concept of union is then highlighted by the use of particular processes that create new intertwined textures, threads that create "sculptures", "new bodies" so for example the texture of an eco-leather blends with its chiffon extension.
Hence a reference to Yin and Yang as a symbol of union, the people in the union complement each other as well as for cultures each learns something from the others. The collection thus celebrates being together united.
Valentina Bisco is a fashion stylist based in Italy. She feels very inclined to experimentation, in search of novelty to observe the styles that take hold gradually and as these sometimes refer to the past, the things that attract she most are those outside the box and extravagant, which attract attention.
For she, fashion is making something interesting in itself attractive. She likes that things have their own why, that they draw attention to people, banality bothers she.
