My passion for the fashion world has gradually been born since when I was a child, in my projects I like to work with fabrics and yarns to create textile manipulation and crochet workings. With my projects I am able to put an end to the limits that the word often imposes on me. I also believe that these, if animated by real bodies, are an immense source of communication and expression, capable of making me dream and at the same time concretizing my ideas.
KINDNESS IS AN ACT OF REBELLION
In a world doomed by hatred and discriminations, a question arises spontaneously: how should the world dress up nowadays? Today we need change , revolution. And whatís more revolutionary than a kind act? Kindness is lightness, sometimes fragility, union and family. Kindness is rebellion, because when around us we can only breath violence, there is nothing more rebellious than being kind. Carnation Revolutionary reminds us of that, in this episode the military refused to keep on fighting the war and they joined the protests of those citizens who gave them carnations as a sign of peace. Kindness rebellion is also highlighted by the times we are living in nowadays, which saw people united in a common fight, in which case I decided to collect in a quarantine diary moments which tell stories about friends' pieces of everyday quarantine life, as for example photographs, written thoughts and sketches full of emotions and memories. Starting from these ideas, the project will be a revaluation of the classic military uniform, through a process of customization. Furthermore, the project will entail the concept of fragility, light fabrics, transparency, embroidery and crochet details. The result is a woman collection with military, romantic and rebellious influences.
Anthologia stands for memories, a collection of stories based on literature and history and it also means collecting flowers. This vision is mixed with childish italian taste based on 60s candyís adv campaigns. The concept is focused on the Carnation Revolution, a civil riot protest that took place in Portugal on the 25th April 1974. A group of soldiers overthrew the government and put carnation flowers inside their gunmetal as a freedom sign.
Kindness against violence, flowers against war.
