Hello my name is Giada Vanni.
I come from central Italy, from Umbria.
My passion for fashion has always been in my life since the years of kindergarten, in those years I already knew who I wanted to become and what my path would be.
I asked myself a question:
WHAT SHOULD THE PLANET WEAR?
My answer to the question is that the planet needs to dress in naivety and lightness, especially considering the difficult time we have been going through for a year and a half. The main theme of my project is childhood.
The idea is to look at the world form another point of view with the eyes of a child,
Approaching the world as if it were our first time. The purpose of this collection is to bring our most vivid memories to the street through colors and shapes, so that we can bring out the child in us.
CON GLI OCCHI DI UN BAMBINO
The theme centers on my childhood and that of must of guys all.
The idea comes from a phrase of the famous writer Giovanni Pascoli who in 1897 wrote Il Fanciullino.
The text is divided into two poetic ages, childhood and old age:
The second knows how to say, but the first knows how to see.
The poet is someone who, aged and unable to see anymore, says what he saw as a child.
The idea of how to see the world from another perspective.
If we could see the world through children’s eyes, we would look at things as if it were the first time.
In my collection the message I want to convey is that of not losing youth through what we wear and to bring the most vivid memories to the street. Talk about what we’ve been through through colors and shapes.
Knowing how to listen to the child in us.
The world needs to dress up with a little naivety.
THIS COLLECTION MADE GIADA VANNI IS THE REFLECT OF HER YOUTH, THINKING ABOUT THAT WAY THAT DRAWS, SILHOUETTES AND INFANTILE FORM CAN PERFECTLY ADAPT TO AN ADULT TASTE.
IT’S LIKE A GOOD MEMORY THAT NEVER LEAVES YOU.
