Through the theme "Fashion Landscapes" I decided to approach the concept of landscape with a broader view: thus not to think about how fashion changes the connotation of a place, but rather how man, in a broader sense, through actions and processes, changes the surrounding environment. The project stems from the concept of the Anthropocene, a geological epoch characterized by the imprint of human beings on the global ecosystem. The collection is inspired by aerial photographs of human-contaminated landscapes from which I derive shapes, colors and surfaces that through reworking are combined with the world of uniforms and utilitarian clothing, paying special attention to the use of natural fabrics.
