Daniele Franchini is a Pattern maker - Fashion Designer and currently resides in Milan.
Despite having traveled extensively around the world, the cultural background of Milan in which he grew up influenced him from many points of view, especially the one concerning fashion.
The philosophy with which he proceeds in life and work is aimed at a continuous and assiduous research that leads to fill the strong curiosity that he nurtures towards almost every form of knowledge and culture.
THE HUMAN BEING IN A PLACE IS PART OF IT.
CONSIDERED AS A MATTER, NOT IN A CULTURAL CONTEXT BUT AS A SLAVE TO THE UNIVERSE.
The “ANTEA” collection explores the human condition in an environment as vast as the universe, where the fashion blends with the surrounding environment through the “design driven user center” concept.
The hostility of the environment has forced man to constantly evolve, and it is for this reason that the garments designed adapt to the shapes that allow the strictly necessary function, aimed at passively contrasting the surrounding landscape.
The rationality of the universe predisposes us to an assiduous search for an impossible harmony and abandonment to chaos.
The concept of Antea is based on a pessimistic vision of nature and the universe, in which man must defend himself not only from the environment that surrounds him, but also from himself. This universal hostility leads the human being to oscillate between the search for an impossible harmony, and abandonment to chaos. For the image of Daniele's brand, NOUS, I got concentrated on the study of fractals, geometric objects that repeat the same figure within them on different scales, and are the basis of chaos theory; therefore, they contain both order and disorder. Even the choice of the font wants to convey a sense of geometry and at the same time incompleteness; while the color palette is made up of neutral colors, among which purple and acid green stand out, to create a strong visual impact.
